Teibow was originally founded in 1896 as Teikoku Seibo Kabushiki Kaisha (Imperial Hat-Makers, Ltd.), a manufacturer of high-quality hats for gentlemen. In the late 1950s, we began the development of nibs for marking pens, by taking advantage of its technology for processing felt, the main fabric used in hats.
TEIBOW has been expanding the pen nib business and achieving continuous growth, and changed a name of company to the current "Teibow Co., Ltd." in 1981. I am grateful for cerabrating our 125th anniversary in 2020.
We would not be here today if we had not developed together with customers, proposed and supplied our products, always thinking of customer's perspective. It is the key which led to the present TEIBOW although we changed our business lineup in accordance with changing the times.
In recent years, we have expanded the sales in the cosmetics field by utilizing the nib manufacturing technology, and the metal parts business in the industrial field by the MIM manufacturing technology too.
Furthermore, by making the most of such technology, we will continue further expansion and growth in the future, responding to various customer requests in any new field business such as an application of fragrances.
I was born here in Hamamatsu, after joining in the company I was involved in the pen nib developments and afterwards I had an opportunity to work with a variety of domestic and overseas customers in the sales section. If I had not had that experience with everyone, I would not be what I am now.
I personally think that a company comprises employees and a growth of the company comes from their individual growth.
We will continue to grow together with our customers with their wisdom and support.
In addition, we will continue to enhance the individual strengths of employees, which is the source of our strengths, cooperate each other, boost the overall strength of the company and serve our customers.
